Exhibition : Tisser, broder, sublimer les savoir-faire de la mode

At the Palais Galliera

Through to October 18th, 2026.

The Palais Galliera is inaugurating a series of three exhibitions dedicated to craftsmanship, highlighting the richness of its collections. The first exhibition is dedicated to the crafts of ornamentation, weaving, printing, embroidery, lace, and artificial flowers, which embellish and decorate clothing and accessories. The exhibition highlights the great variety of techniques through the theme of the flower, an essential motif in textile art and fashion since the 18th century. More than 350 works, including garments, accessories, photographs, samples, tools... invite the public to delve into the heart of fashion craftsmanship, to observe, scrutinise, and contemplate the creations of haute couture houses and pieces by young designers in order to better understand the complexity of the techniques behind each creation.
