The Grand Palais is honouring for the first time the African-American artist Mickalene Thomas, whose work reinvents the classic portrait with a particular queer and black feminist perspective. The exhibition celebrates the power of love to transform personal and collective life and invites the public into a universe of love, leisure, and liberation.
