At the Institut du Monde Arabe
Through to January 11th, 2026.
Without a doubt, Queen Cleopatra is, in our eyes, the most enigmatic and intriguing sovereign of Antiquity. Everything about her life, her death, her reign, her legend calls to us. The Institut du Monde Arabe is dedicating a major exhibition to this fascinating historical star, bringing together paintings, sculptures, prints, archaeological objects, jewellery, costumes, films... Iconography, literature, cinema, theatre, and opera have widely celebrated Cleopatra and have contributed to forging a legend of this glamorous and cultured woman, Queen of Egypt, the last sovereign of the Ptolemaic dynasty, companion of Julius Caesar and then of Mark Antony. Pharaoh woman as well. She will know how to reign with diplomacy to ally with Roman power and preserve her authority until she imposes one of the most famous and popular imprints in History.
