Through to December 20th, 2026.
The musée de la Liberation de Paris - musée Général Leclerc - musée Jean Moulin, in exceptional collaboration with Magnum Photos, invites the public to discover the work of Robert Capa, a war photographer whose style has profoundly influenced the profession. The exhibition retraces the journey of a young Hungarian immigrant who shaped the figure of the war photographer, his eye fixed on the lens and the scoop always in mind. One hundred and sixty pieces, including more than sixty vintage press prints, magazines, books, documents, and personal items, offer a historical perspective on a reality that remains relevant today: the risk involved in reporting on war.
In 2024, according to Reporters Without Borders, 54 journalists lost their lives while carrying out their mission, mostly in conflict zones.
