Exhibition : Rick Owens Temple of love

At the Palais Galliera

Through to January 4th, 2026.

For this second part of the 2025 season, the Palais Galliera Fashion Museum in Paris is offering an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to Rick Owens. The famous American stylist, known for his anti-fashion and minimalist aspirations, never ceases to surprise, provoke, or even shock with his creations. For this retrospective - rare for a living fashion designer - which visitors to Paris will discover, it is a great journey through all his work from his beginnings to the latest shows that will be offered in an event exhibition, Rick Owens, Temple Of Love, until January 4.

His shows are real events, through which Rick Owens shakes up the conventions of the very established and conventional fashion world. The designer is not afraid of controversy or scandal. Round, warrior women using their bodies as percussion in 2014, the unveiling of male sexuality in 2015, or even models strapped to each other in 2016, each collection presentation is unexpected... The exhibition immerses us in the world of the creator and in the sources of inspiration for his famous black or grey outfits. This famous special grey, called dust, which has become one of his signatures.

From the underground inspirations of his beginnings in 1992, where recovered materials were used in his work (blankets, military bags, leather...), to the most recent sophisticated models, it is a journey around more than 100 silhouettes that is offered to visitors. A retrospective that goes beyond the museum framework to extend to the outside of the Palais Galliera: statues on the facade wrapped in sequined fabrics, sculptures in the garden evoking his furniture creations, floral beds chosen... And always a reflection on love for this staging of his work, which ends with the reconstruction of the bedroom in California of the creator and his wife, Michèle Lamy.

Temple of love, temple of creation, the extravagant and provocative American stylist of international renown, who feels so at home in Paris, could not have found a better place than the Palais Galliera, which is celebrating him. An exceptional exhibition

for which he himself is the artistic director.
