At the Bibliothèque Nationale de France
Through to January 18th, 2026.
The Bibliothèque Nationale de France honours Colette, an essential figure of 20th-century literature who was at once a novelist, journalist, screenwriter, advertising executive, and actress. More than 300 pieces: photographs, prints, paintings, film and interview excerpts, books, manuscripts... are on display and shed light on Colette's favourite themes that can be found throughout her work and life: femininity, identity, emancipation, nature, desire. Often ahead of her time, Colette was able to create an innovative, bold, sometimes transgressive body of work that remains surprisingly relevant today.
