Exhibition : Jean-Baptiste Greuze

At the Petit Palais

Through to January 25th, 2025.

At the Petit Palais, discover a very beautiful exhibition that pays tribute to one of the most important and daring figures of the 18th century, who is now largely unknown: Jean-Baptiste Greuze. On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of his birth, the Petit-Palais is off ering a chance to rediscover this painter of the soul, famous for his portraits and genre scenes, acclaimed in his time by the public, adored by critics and sought after by collectors. A hundred or so paintings, drawings, and prints on the theme of childhood explore the intimacy of the family and highlight the major debates that animated 18th-century Paris, revealing the artist's rebellious spirit.
