Exhibition Dragons

At the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac

Conceived with the National Palace Museum of Taipei in Taiwan, this exhibition traces 5,000 years of stories and legends of East Asian dragons. Originating in China, the dragon ensures the harmony of the world and embodies universal vital energy and the aquatic element. The exhibition presents an exceptional selection of objects and works of art, including several jewels from the National Palace Museum in Taipei. The public will be able to admire numerous objects adorned with dragons, such as jade sculptures, bronze vases decorated with animal motifs, calligraphy or funerary objects, costumes and masks, children's toys...
