After conquering London, New York, Portland, Chicago, Melbourne, and Montreal, the Africa Fashion exhibition, designed by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, has settled at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac and o ers a dialogue between the greatest fashion designers of the contemporary African scene and the museum's rich historical collections.
The exhibition celebrates the meteoric rise of the African fashion scene, driven by a new generation of designers, blending inspiration and stylistic innovation. This exhibition presents African fashion as a form of art that reveals the richness and diversity of African histories and cultures. For the occasion, the museum highlights its collection of African textiles, accessories, and jewellery, as well as a selection of photographs from its archives and collected from the public.
