At the Parc Naturel et Archéologique de Samara
In the heart of the Somme Valley, come experience a unique adventure at the Samara
Archaeological and Natural Park and discover the riches of the Somme's archaeological
heritage. Samara valorizes the research conducted since the 19th century in a fun,
educational and scientific way and invites the public to discover its historic buildings
reconstructions, its ancient skills and crafts demonstrations spaces such as forging,
weaving, glass working, basketry... and its exhibition spaces dedicated to presenting
more than 750,000 years of history through scenes of everyday life in their archaeological context. The park is also a treasure trove of biodiversity. Its marsh covering more than 5 hectares, hosting over 60 species of birds and 370 species of plants that can be observed and discovered during a visit.
